This notice describes how Billabyte Pty Ltd handles information collected through billabyte.au. Product-specific privacy policies may apply when you use a Billabyte app.
What we collect
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, enquiry type and message you provide. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to help with your request.
We also use website analytics, session-behaviour tools and reCAPTCHA. These services may receive technical and usage information such as your device and browser, approximate location, pages viewed, interactions and information used to detect automated abuse.
How we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, provide support, assess potential work and keep an appropriate business record. We use website information to understand how the site performs, improve it and protect forms from abuse.
Contact submissions are stored using Google services. The website also uses services provided by Google, Vercel and Hotjar. Those providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other places where they operate, under their own privacy terms.
Storage and disclosure
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide support, and to meet business or legal requirements. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it to service providers that help operate the website and business, when you ask us to, or when disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Access, correction and questions
To ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern, email support@billabyte.au. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing information.
We will review a concern and respond within a reasonable period. If our information-handling practices change, we will update this notice and its date.
